Friends of Montserrat Care (FOMC) turned out in strong support on Sunday afternoon as its president, Victor E. Lewis, received a well-deserved award at Emerald Isle Creative Vibes’ Dinner and Dance: An Afternoon of Elegance and Excellence in the Bronx, New York.
The event celebrated individuals whose service, leadership and commitment have made a meaningful contribution to society while helping to preserve Caribbean heritage and keep Montserrat’s culture alive throughout the diaspora.
Victor is an entrepreneur, producer, director and longtime architect of entertainment who has dedicated much of his work to promoting Montserrat, creating opportunities and bringing people together through culture and community service.
Through FOMC, Victor and his team are also working to improve the lives of Montserratians through initiatives in education, healthcare, community development and humanitarian assistance. The organization aims to serve as a bridge between Montserrat and the wider global community while helping to create sustainable opportunities for the island and its people.
Victor was honoured alongside Alicia Barzey, Basil Chambers and Dr Brenda Osborne, each recognized for outstanding service in their respective fields.
FOMC members, friends and supporters were proud to be present for this special moment and to celebrate a man whose work continues to uplift the Emerald Isle.
Congratulations to Victor E. Lewis from all of us at MGT! Your recognition is richly deserved. Continue serving, building and taking Montserrat forward. Victor E Lewis
